Prayer for Marseille
Marseille is divided into 16 arrondissements (neighborhoods). We want to invite you to pray strategically for each of these neighborhoods. Below you can find for each arrondissement a short overview of the arrondissement as well as ways to pray for that neighborhood. In addition, you can find an address with Google Street View where you can immerse yourself into the neighborhood and pray with “boots on the ground”. We’re excited to see how God will use these prayers for the city of Marseille.

In den Links unten findest du für jedes Arrondissement Hintergrundinformationen und Gebetsanliegen für dieses Stadtviertel. Außerdem gibt es eine Adresse mit Google Street View, wo du in das Viertel eintauchen und "vor Ort" beten kannst. Wir sind gespannt, wie Gott diese Gebete für die Stadt Marseille nutzen wird.

Church history shows that ongoing prayer catalyzes and fuels movements of multiplying disciples, churches, and leaders. Scripture is clear that it is God that builds his church, and so we are completely dependent on the initiative of the almighty God. But hundreds of examples show that God chooses to move where people pray earnestly for it. While it is no guarantee that prayer will lead to a movement of the Gospel, it is almost guaranteed that no movement will start where the people aren’t praying for it.
Prayer is one of the ways that we can already engage in Marseille while we prepare to move there. We believe that Marseille is a strategic place for a movement of the Gospel to start that spreads north into France and Europe, and south into the Mediterranean region. Will you join us as we pray more strategically for the city?
Die Kirchengeschichte zeigt, dass Gebet Bewegungen auslöst und vorantreibt, die zur Multiplikation von Jüngern, Gemeinden und Leitern führen. Die Bibel macht deutlich, dass es Gott ist, der seine Gemeinde baut. Wir sind völlig abhängig von der Initiative des allmächtigen Gottes. Aber Hunderte von Beispielen zeigen, dass Gott sich entscheidet, dort zu handeln, wo Menschen ernsthaft dafür beten. Es ist zwar keine Garantie dafür, dass das Gebet zu einer Bewegung des Evangeliums führt, aber es ist fast garantiert, dass keine Bewegung beginnt, wenn nicht dafür gebetet wird.
Gebet ist eine der Möglichkeiten, wie wir uns bereits in Marseille engagieren können, während wir uns auf den Umzug dorthin vorbereiten. Wir glauben, dass Marseille ein strategischer Ort für den Beginn einer Bewegung des Evangeliums ist, die sich nach Norden in Frankreich und Europa und nach Süden in den Mittelmeerraum ausbreitet.
